What to Include in a Request
Give the custodian a full name, a narrow date range, the place, the arresting agency if known, and any case or booking number. Ask for an existing record, electronic delivery, the fee estimate, and the legal basis for any redaction or withholding. A request for a new countywide list or gallery may not describe a record the agency already has.
For a La Plata Police Department record, use the town’s MPIA route. An Indian Head town request form is for town records, not a CCSO booking file. Port Tobacco Village has no separate police-records channel located, so a criminal booking question should identify CCSO or the actual arresting agency.
